We were delighted to attend Phoenix Natural Gas’ annual Gas Industry Ball in La Mon Hotel on Friday 7 October. Always an excellent event, the company pulled out all the stops this year to celebrate their 20th Anniversary. After a lovely performance from the School Choir of the Year, St Patrick's Primary School Rathfriland, well-known ITV Magician ‘Ben Hanlin’ continued the evening’s entertainment with an impressive performance. However after witnessing the swallowing and disappearance of numerous needles, we felt rather squeamish before dinner.
Nevertheless, it didn’t take too long to regain our appetites. We tucked into a glorious three course meal and enjoyed musical appearances from the West End’s Phantom of the Opera cast.
It was a wonderful evening, highlighting the evolution of Phoenix over 20 years. A journey here at Ardmore we are happy to have played a small part in.
A finale performance from Flash Harry topped the evening off and despite Queen’s lyrics “The Show must go on, unfortunately all good things must come to an end…that is until next year’s Gala Ball!
