Want to send sales and circulation figures soaring in one direction?

Our answer was to create a competition around the hottest tickets in town.

By devising a simple scratch card mechanic, which was supported through a targeted TV and Radio campaign, readers were encourage to buy the newspaper for their chance of winning tickets to One Direction.

The result? Lots of new fans.
